You may recall a few weeks ago when we shared that Sara Wayne (a second grade teacher at Legacy – North Chandler) and Cassandra Hinton (student support coach) co-created Coyote Parent Academy, a platform for parents to meet virtually and explore topics that support the academic growth of their children.
“Our goal is to help parents feel more involved with the school by helping them understand different aspects of what the school and teachers are doing, providing information on how to better help their students, and sharing fun activities that families can do together,” Wayne said.
Parents who join the academy have a variety of virtual sessions available for them to attend. Families who participate are also entered into an end-of-the-year drawing for a Chromebook.
