Legacy Families,

As we enter into Spring 2021 Achievement Testing, we wanted to communicate what that may look like for your student(s). We recognize that you and your student(s) have been faced with many challenges this year, and we don’t want state testing to be another one. We want to emphasize the importance of testing, especially this year, as we can use this data to identify gaps and better meet the needs of your student(s).

Per state and federal guidelines, all students in grades 3 through 8 are required to take the AzM2 Achievement Test in Writing, Reading, and Math. Additionally, students in grades 5 and 8 are also required to take the AzSCI Field Test. These tests must be administered in person at your registered campus, regardless of whether your child’s enrollment is online or in-person.

Your campus’ School Test Coordinator (STC) will be reaching out to you to schedule times for your child to come in and test. The testing window ranges from March 22 to April 30 for AzSCI and April 5 to May 14 for AzM2. Students are allowed to only take two portions of the test per day, which means your student will need to be on campus for 3-4 days.

Campuses will continue to follow all risk mitigation processes to ensure your student’s safety while on campus. If you have specific requests or concerns please be sure to address them with your School Test Coordinator.

We want our Legacy families to feel supported throughout state testing, and we will work to be as flexible as possible when setting up testing sessions for your student(s).

We’ve compiled several tips to help your child prepare for state testing. Click here to find out how you can help your child prepare.

Thank you for your continued support!
