Teacher of the Month (April): Roberta Thomason (First Grade Teacher)
Reason Nominated: Legacy – Queen Creek’s Teacher of the Month for March 2021 is Roberta Thomason. Berta is the epitome of the term professional because she always goes the extra mile for her students, their families, and her colleagues. You could find Berta buzzing around the hallways of Legacy – Queen Creek when she is not with her students because she makes it her mission to greet everyone with a smile each day. She is a true advocate for her students and is a master of interventions that make a difference. One of her many strengths is communication. She ensures that all stakeholders are well informed about her students strengths and needs. Berta’s first grade students always show tremendous growth and are well prepared to move into second grade because of her tireless efforts.
Staff of the Month (April): Shereen Shaw (Secretary)
Reason Nominated: For the month of March, Legacy – Queen Creek was focused on the term Professionalism for our Staff of the Month. No one exemplifies this more than our front office secretary Shereen Shaw. Being the first person our stakeholders encounter, Shereen handles every situation with the utmost respect, positivity, and caring heart. Parents and staff alike regularly say that Shereen is so helpful and completes tasks with a smile. Each time she takes on a campus task, it is completed in a professional and timely fashion. Legacy – Queen Creek gets tremendous results on survey data, in large part due to Shereen’s compassion and caring heart that she displays in each situation. Thank you Shereen for being a rockstar Patriot.
