Teacher of the Month (February): Kay Burchfield (ESS Resource Teacher)
Reason Nominated: Kay always has the best smile and she never says no when there is any way to say yes. Ms. Burchfield takes great pains to help the ESS team improve and function together, often taking time out of her own prep. While the group has been short a team member, Ms. Burchfield not only organized how all students’ needs should be met, she took on extra students herself, even though she already sees the greatest number of students in ESS. Even with her heavy workload, Ms. Burchfield is always looking to help her students individually, not just putting them in a group or category, pushing them as they need to succeed. She truly exemplifies Gladiator greatness!
