Teacher of the Month (September): Joe Tyrrell (Sixth Grade Teacher)
Reason Nominated: Mr. Tyrrell is an amazing teacher who is masterful at cultivating a strong classroom community and culture. He always puts his students first and cares for the well being of them on a personal level. He knows that creating trusting relationships with students founded on a mutual respect is the key to a successful classroom. He is also always so positive and takes on every challenge willingly and with a smile. Goodyear is so lucky to have a phenomenal educator like Mr. Tyrrell!
Staff of the Month (September): Makayla Keaveny (Lunch Aide)
Reason Nominated: Makayla is in the lunch room the entire time and I know that take a lot of patience from someone. My main reason to nominate her is for her ability to change on a daily basis in order to accommodate facilities, PE, meetings etc. She does it all with a smile! Makayla is always so positive and really cares for our students!
