Teacher of the Month (September): Mandy Todd (Lead Permanent Substitute Teacher)
As a Perm sub, Mandy started the year as a long term fifth grade teacher. No one would have known that she was not the real teacher of record because she showed up everyday prepared, excited, and motivated to provide the highest level of education to her students. Mandy’s work ethic, dedication and professionalism not only impressed her fifth grade colleagues, but also earned her the respect of her students and their parents. Many families were sad to hear that Mrs. Todd would not be their permanent teacher after Quarter 2. We are appreciative and thankful for Mandy’s work during her time in fifth grade and we are blessed to retain her as our Lead Perm Sub.
Teacher of the Month (September): Jen Chasey (Second Grade Teacher)
Mrs. Chasey earned teacher of the month because many staff members have recognized her willingness to step up as a mentor teacher. Our second grade team is divided into two hallways, and Mrs. Chasey has taken it upon herself to assist one of our new teachers. Her ability to connect with students is at another level this year and I am excited to see her positive growth as a leader.
Staff of the Month (September): KaSaundra Davis (Paraprofessional)
As a 1 on 1 paraprofessional, it would be easy Mrs. Davis to just come in and solely focus on her student. Mrs. Davis takes an active role to ensure her student is always included in games, activities, and is surrounded by a host of friends at lunch time. Our Patriot family appreciates her smile, passion to assist all students, and caring heart.
