On Sunday, March 15, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman announced the closures of all schools in the state through March 27 as a safety measure against COVID-19.
State officials encouraged schools to expand child care programs, however, that excludes preschools, in which all private and public preschools are included in the 2-week closure.
Therefore, Legacy Preschool and Prekindergarten, including Spring Break Camps, will be closed beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020. We expect Preschool and Prekindergarten to resume on Monday, March 30, 2020.
We will not be charging tuition while the program is closed.
As we monitor the COVID-19 coverage and new developments from state agencies, please know that Legacy staff and students will continue to exercise ongoing social distancing measures, regular intervals to wash and sanitize hands, and proper and frequent sanitization of school facilities.
