Las Vegas, NV, Sept. 16, 2024 — Legacy Traditional Schools is proud to announce Legacy Traditional School – Southwest Las Vegas Elementary and Junior High have earned coveted 5-star ratings from the Nevada Department of Education’s Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF). Additionally, Legacy – Cadence Junior High was awarded a 4-star rating.

The 5-star rating is the highest distinction the NSPF gives and recognizes schools that exceed expectations for all students and subgroups across critical measures, including English language arts, science, and mathematics. The Cadence Junior High’s 4-star rating highlights the school’s strong performance, with room to continue building on its academic achievements.

“We are incredibly proud of Legacy Traditional School – Southwest Las Vegas and Cadence for their commitment to excellence,” said Superintendent of Academics Jennifer Emling. “Each 5- and 4-star rating is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, educators, and staff.”

The Nevada School Performance Framework evaluates schools annually and issues an index score based on academic performance across various subjects and factors. Schools earning 5-star ratings are recognized as “superior schools” that exceed expectations for all students.

In 2023, just 11 percent of Nevada schools were rated 5-star schools by the state. “We are proud to be among the few 5-star schools in Nevada, showcasing the success of public charter schools and their ability to provide exceptional learning options for students,” added Emling.
