Legacy Traditional Schools Celebrates 16 Years of Academic Excellence
CHANDLER, Arizona – Legacy Traditional Schools, a public and tuition-free K-8 charter school network, commemorates its 16th academic year this September.
Founded in 2007, the first campus in Maricopa, Arizona, welcomed just over 500 students whose parents were looking for an educational environment for their children in which academic excellence, highly effective educators, and a supportive school community were at the forefront.
In the 2023-24 academic year, Legacy’s 28 Arizona, Nevada, and Texas campuses serve about 28,000 K-8 students, supported by 2,500 teachers and staff.
Superintendent Mia Vega remarked, “Legacy Traditional Schools have grown and evolved over the years, but our commitment to a well-rounded, foundational education remains unwavering. This anniversary celebrates our past achievements and honors the educators, administrators, and staff dedicated to ensuring a brighter future for our students.”
