SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 5, 2023) — Legacy Traditional Schools – Texas (LTS-Texas), a network of tuition-free public schools, reported a significant growth in student performance across its San Antonio campuses, according to recent State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) data.

Legacy Traditional School – Oblate, previously known as Kelley Elementary, led the way in San Antonio’s City Council District 1 with a remarkable 20 percent growth in math scores. Additionally, Oblate celebrated the second-highest percentage growth in reading scores with a 15% increase. Legacy Traditional School – Basse posted a 14% growth in math, earning the third-highest percentage growth in the district.
“The substantial growth in test scores is a testament to the positive impact of school choice and our commitment to foundational education,” said Dr. Mechiel Rozas, Superintendent of Legacy Traditional Schools. “The daily efforts of our students, faculty, and staff not only are a source of pride for the entire school community but also significantly contribute to the achievements reflected in the state’s STAAR test scores.”
